In Menopause? Don’t Ignore the Importance of Vaginal Health!
When in menopause the estrogen levels diminish, resulting in lack of estrogen stimulation to the vagina. This can cause adverse changes in the vagina over time and this could have significant consequences. This lack of estrogen causes the vagina to thin and become brittle with less elasticity (less able to stretch). The lack of estrogen stimulation can also cause changes in the acidity (Ph.) of the vagina.
