Bioidentical Hormone Therapy: Truth or Consequences

The 2002 Women’s Health Initiative study created havoc in the minds of numerous women who, for various reasons, need and desire a safer form of hormonal replacement.  Bioidentical Hormone replacement has become the buzz word for many of the patients we see in the office. Most patients have significant misconceptions and there are numerous misrepresentations made about the bioidentical hormones they are receiving through local compounding pharmacies.  I feel it is imperative to set the record straight and hope to succinctly do so in this article.
